Final Practice before the Bahrain GP, and it was Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso at the head of the field. Alonso was the one of the first drivers to engage a low fuel run and managed to set the fastest time of the weekend, clocking 1 min 54.099 seconds.

Also looking very strong though, is the Mercedes GP team. Nico Rosberg, who topped the second free practice session yesterday, managed to set fastest first and second sector times than Alonso, but lost out on the third sector. Rosberg finished the session 0.269 seconds off Alonso's time. While Rosberg's team-mate, the returning seven time world champion, Michael Schumacher managed to set the fourth fastest time, two-tenths off the Rosberg's pace. Splitting the two Mercedes GP cars, was Mark Webber in his Red Bull Racing RB06.

Sebastian Vettel, Felipe Massa, Jenson Button, Robert Kubica, Vitantonio Liuzzi and Nico Hulkenberg made up the top ten.

Lewis Hamilton wasn't able to finish the final practice session as his McLaren had trouble with a brake duct.

And it was disappointment for Indian driver, Karun Chandhok. Hydraulic trouble meant his car could not find any gear. This meant Chandhok had to sit out the final practice session as well. As he hasn't taken part in a single session of practice, Karun will not be able to compete in the qualifying session, or race tomorrow.

But the Ferrari's won't have anything on Merc's pace.... Schumi and Rosberg will be too strong for anyone this qualifying session! Whoo hoo!
