Alonso makes first Ferrari appearance

While Alonso is under contract with Renault until the end of 2009, the French team allowed the double world champion to attend the Scuderia's annual end-of-season celebrations. Also present at the event were Alonso's team-mate for the 2010 season - Felipe Massa - and Ferrari test drivers Luca Badoer, Marc Gene and Giancarlo Fisichella.

Another significant occurence at the event was Felipe Massa getting back into the cockpit of the Ferrari F60 for the first time since his horrific crash in Hungary.

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has declared that he believes Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso make the "best driver couple in F1". Montezemolo went on to say that he was convinced both drivers will be hugely motivated to win.
