There is a lot of opportunity for carmakers to enter the B and the C segment. However, often they look at this segment as a place where price is the only consideration. Therefore releasing old designs or the so called "special car for India" based on an older platform is what auto makers are considering to be the way forward. Unfortunately, the Indian car buyers are not foolish. Design matters. Renault found out the hard way with the Logan. I wish the folks from Ford and Toyota are reading this. The Etios and the Figo are bound to fail here. This is strange as both these car makers make beautiful cars globally like the Yaris, Aygo, the European Fiesta etc.
