The British sports car brand AC hasn't had a new model in over 10 years, but it's all set to change that now. The Italian design house Zagato penned a design for a brand called Perana which debuted at the 2009 Geneva motor show, but since then, the company has run into troubles and wasn't able to produce the car. Not wanting to see such a good design go to waste, Zagato sold it to AC.
Powering this coupe will be a 6.2-litre V8 engine from General Motors, the same engine which can be found under the hood of the Chevrolet Corvette. Couple that with its light weight and you've got yourself a rocket.
After years of dormancy, this model marks the start of a new era for AC cars. This car will start production later in the year in South Africa and after that, they plan on launching a few more models. In this line-up will be replicas of historic AC cars, too!
