So Peugeot have finally won at the 24 Hours of Le Mans after two years of 'so close, yet so far' moments. Congrats to the French manufacturer for finally pulling it off.
Looks like, this is going to be a year of upsets after all. First, Mitsubishi had a relatively disastrous year at the Dakar, and despite it's reasonably good showing, it couldn't fathom that its nearly decade long rein in the sport had come to an end and so decided to exit the sport.
Ferrari and McLaren haven't had the best of F1 seasons either, with an outfit that has occupied the last row so far now dictating the proceedings at the front.
And now, Audi have got a wake up call of sorts. Albeit, they aren't going to exit the sport, nor cry their way to the powers that may be. They will just go back to the drawing board and fix the R15 TDI for next year. But they will surely be hurting. After all, no one likes to ruin a ten year reign. On that same note, I'd like to see if a certain Mikko Hirvonen capitalize on the mere 7 point defecit and finally break Sebastien Loeb's dominance in WRC. With 2009 being the way it is, you never know!
