Trust Toyota to fix something that's already the benchmark! Yes, they've launched the new Land Cruiser 200 and it's looking (as always) better than ever before. On the exteriors count, it's got new headlamps and fog lamps, a new radiator grille and front bumper and also features chrome running strips on the sides. The interior too is more contemporary - there's some high-quality seat upholstery and new dials thrown in while the trim is largely in wood finish.

It's got a new 4.5-litre turbodiesel powerplant mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The usual bits - a four wheel drive unit, Hill descent control and a host of adjustable off-road components - are, of course, part of the package. A crucial feature on the mechanicals front is the newly-developed 4-wheel auto height adjust system - an interesting addition, we say! Bookings for the LC200 are open and it is priced starting Rs 87.99 Lakh going upto 89.55 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Alongside the LC200 were launched the new, updated Innova and Fortuner. Click on link for more details :

The Fortuner is priced at Rs. 19.99 Lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi) for the 4x2 manual, while the 4x2 automatic is priced at Rs 20.69 Lakh and the 4x4 manual is priced at Rs 20.99 lakh. The new Innova's prices begin at Rs 9.4 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) going all the way up to Rs 13.19 Lakh for the top variant.

Toyota's show-stealer, however, was the unveiling of the all-new Camry! The new Camry looks much smarter and has got much sharper edges. In fact it resembles the Honda Accord quite a bit, especially when viewed head-on. It's got a 2500cc, 4-cylinder dual VVT-i petrol motor that produces

178.5 bhp@6000 rpm and 23.55 kgm@4100 rpm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox - a safe choice for a car of its segment! On the features list is a touchscreen (bluetooth/dvd enabled) media interface and the audio unit is the same as on the new Innova/Fortuner. The new Camry also boasts of dual-zone auto air-conditioning (with rear a/c vents), steering-mounted controls for the media player and other real-time car info, an engine start-stop button, HID headlamps with auto-levelling and six-way electric adjust for the driver and passenger seats.

The new Camry will be launched in the third quarter of 2012 and CKD operations will begin by mid-2012. Prices will, of course, be announced at the time of its market launch. We'll keep you posted on more from Toyota!
