The Mercedes-Benz pavillion at the 2012 Auto Expo was a busy one, with a wide selection of their products and merchandise on display. Right there, at the entrance was an imposing black S600 Pullman Guard. The choice of wheels for kings and world leaders, the S600 state limo offers the highest VR6/VR7 level of protection and its floor can resist the wrath of 3 DM 51-type of grenades. All windows have polycarbonate layers to keep those pesky bullets from messing up your hair. Sorry, the body guards dressed in black and Ray Bans, with UZIs tucked away in their suits aren't included. We asked!

The company also revealed its new initiative called the 'mb.Inspired'. What this initiative intends to do is to promote Mercedes-Benz's ethos of the 'Best or nothing', which shows the dedication of the company to top-notch quality within their products. This initiative will also commemorate icons that inspire the impressionable youth of India to persevere without fear of failure.

But this wasn't just all show and no go. The company officially launched the SLS AMG Roadster today at the Auto Expo. Powered by a massive 6.3-litre V8 making a rather wholesome 571 horses, the convertible roadster is capable of a claimed 0-100 in 3.8 seconds and a top whack of 317 kph.

Also launched was the new Mercedes-Benz M-Class, which although larger in length and width than the outgoing model, looks quite sharp and compact. The height of the new M 350 CDI has been decreased. LED lights and a redesigned bonnet have make the M-B look younger and sharper than ever before. The Merc is powered by a 2987 cc V6 diesel burner that makes 258 horses and 620 NM, enough to take it to a claimed top speed of 224 kmph.

But that wasn't all. Mercedes-Benz has also showcased the company's futuristic design and engineering directions with the Concept A-Class and the relatively greener fuel cell technology.
