Chevrolet has announced the new Captiva and Tavera Neo3 at the 2012 Auto Expo. The new Captiva 2.2 AT will come powered by a 2.2-litre engine that is mated to a six-speed auto transmission. The car also sports a new fresh, sporty exterior design. The interior gets a jet-black treatment, while other features like cruise control, dual-row heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, electric parking brake, rain-sensing wipers and a stylish sunroof are also present.
The Tavera Neo3 has been upgraded based on Customer feedback. The new car "combines the handling of a passenger car with the performance and ruggedness of an MUV". The Tavera now gets Chevrolet's twin-port grille, and a bigger bowtie emblem too. Larger headlamps with integrated indicators are also present.
The top-end variant will get a dual-tone body colour combination and contrasting gold bumpers and side trim. The interior has been given a premium look in order to give the car a more luxurious feel.
The Tavera comes powered by a 2.5-liter direct injection insta-torque turbocharged engine (BS3) and an all-new 2.0-liter common-rail direct-injection diesel engine that is BS4 emission compliant. Both of the engines operate quietly and have excellent low-end torque, making them handy in heavy traffic.
