  • After a series of teaser images, the Ferrari F12berlinetta finally breaks cover. It comes with an all-new 6.3-litre V12 engine that makes a whopping 730 bhp. Now, that makes this the most powerful road-going Ferrari yet!
  • It sports their new design language which is present on the 458 Italia and the FF. It's not as elegant as the 599 it replaces, but it looks good in it's own right. The Ferrari styling centre and Pininfarina collaborated on the design of this one.
  • The weight distribution stands at a healthy 46:54 front:back which gives it fairly neutral driving dynamics. There are completely new assembly techniques in use which increase structural rigidity while keeping the weight low (1525 kg - kerb weight)
  • It comes with the, now standard, Ferrari steering wheel. Which pretty much concentrates all the buttons in a normal cabin onto the steering wheel. Note: you may need to take a masters-level course just to turn on the windshield wipers.
  • Typical Ferrari fare for the rest of the interior. Lots of hand-stitched leather, aluminium and lateral G-forces. It's very practical, too, with a lot of useable luggage space behind the seats, a wide-opening rear tailgate and increased passenger space.
  • It claims to accelerate to 100kph from a standstill in only 3.1 seconds and will complete a lap on Ferrari's Fiorano test track in 1 minute 23 seconds flat. That makes this the fastest road-going Ferrari as well. It's got the full suite of control systems to give you a good safety net too.
  • A lot of work in the wind-tunnel and computational fluid dynamics labs resulted in this car having some of the best aerodynamics in the business. the Cd (drag) of the car stands at an amazing 0.299 while downforce has been increased at the same time.
