hmmm. rohin.. the answer lies there in front of all of us... yet we nerver lok at it. when we cn have real seat belts for cars n saree guards mandatory for bikes... even at the cost of ruining the superbike charm... why cant govt make it mandatory for all trucks to b a/c... . cud b introduced in phased manner.. a/c ... bucket seat, power steering..abs, srs make everything mandatory... by , say 2013 or 2015. after all the govt is used to thinking for us and telling us whtz better for us.. what movies we /ads/serials we watch.. what books we read... they can imply the goodies poor truckies get to use.

Dear Rohin, Very nice article. I have always been fascinated with trucks from my childhood and once after I sat down on the driver's seat I realized how messed up the ergonomics were. Also, how bad the seats were too. I don't understand why industry leaders like Tata Motors can't put in atleast a decent bucket seat (adjustable one at that) in all their products. Sure, it costs money, but if they add the actual cost of the seat (without profit), to the list price, no one would notice! Really well penned article.
